they're seven days old now. i was there when they were born and i stayed to help take care of them. oh they're so cute. i wish i could have one. timing's so not right.

buck's baja adventure
this blog started out as a journal of my research trip to loreto, baja california but has evolved somewhat to include my time back home and the stuff i do when i'm not in the field
i study Mycteroperca rosacea, the leopard grouper, in baja california. i've been working on my current project since 2001. I hope this blog is at least entertaining, if not informative.
all of the pics you're going to see are MINE ALONE! so keep your dirty fingers off.

I moved 3,000 miles away from my friends and feel like I've lost my cooking mojo not having people to cook for. Mara said I should start a food blog and after I detailed how it really is hard to get up the desire to just cook for myself and then take pictures, she 'fessed up and said, so when I suggested you should blog about your food to help you, what I really should have said was blog your food for US - so we can see it and enjoy it from afar and try to replicate it. So here it is.

I have a golden and she is my best friend. Take one- you will make it work and it will be the best thing you have ever done!
well, i completely agree on the best friend part. i lost my 14 year old golden, kayla, in july and my heart is still aching from it. =(
