this blog started out as a journal of my research trip to loreto, baja california but has evolved somewhat to include my time back home and the stuff i do when i'm not in the field
i study Mycteroperca rosacea, the leopard grouper, in baja california. i've been working on my current project since 2001. I hope this blog is at least entertaining, if not informative.
all of the pics you're going to see are MINE ALONE! so keep your dirty fingers off.

oh man, i finally had a little time to do some pics and when i went to load them up to flickr they've informed me that i've reached the limit of my free account. i either have to start deleting pictures because they only allow you to display 200 or i have to upgrade to the pay account.

I moved 3,000 miles away from my friends and feel like I've lost my cooking mojo not having people to cook for. Mara said I should start a food blog and after I detailed how it really is hard to get up the desire to just cook for myself and then take pictures, she 'fessed up and said, so when I suggested you should blog about your food to help you, what I really should have said was blog your food for US - so we can see it and enjoy it from afar and try to replicate it. So here it is.

it's the man, holding us down, suppressing us to manipulate and pay up. i say don't do it!!! rotate the pics, or open an new account. there has to be a loophole! :)
